MAIN GATE
Welcome to Mother Earth's Creations - Intertribal Powwow Grounds.
Before entering the Main Gate, you will notice to the right of the opening, is a disclaimer. We are not a "Reservation" and we are not "Affiliated with a specific Native Nation". We offer a type of a Native American style PLAY GROUND to celebrate the life that Creator gifted us.
To the Left of the opening is a Burden Basket. Take a pinch of tobacco from the bowl and hold it to your heart. Imagine all of the troubles, woes, heavy hearted, work issues, conflicts, etc. that could hold you back from having a good time. With an open mind, place the pinch of tobacco into the basket to allow Creator to deal with your "Burdens" for the day, so that you can come in and see things with a child's eye and experience something new!!
Just inside the Main Gate Arbor is a Donation Box. There is no set fee.
Mother Earth's Creations is a Limited Liability Company. The Grounds are supported through Donations & Raffles. All of the funds gained during our gatherings are for repairs, upgrades, maintenance, and any expenses accumulated during the events.

FEASTING
AREA
Nomadic tribes would come together for Powwows, Spirituals, Festivals, Social Events, etc.
They would have a centrally located area for the preparation, cooking and serving of the food that was offered. A group that would be attending one of these gatherings would bring prepared and unprepared foods. Breads, Fruit, Berries, Nuts, Herbs, Roots, Meats, Vegetables, Syrups, Candies, etc. To share an offering of food was a very respectful and honorable gift to the gathering and all of those attending.
As each group arrived, a person was selected to present the food that their groups brought. It would be placed with all that was collected to created the feast meal. Many would offer their time to assist with the preparation, cooking and/or serving of the food. The small amount of food brought by each group put together would now feed everyone.
A Spit of some sort was used to cook things suspended over the fire, flat heated stones or griddle were used to fry something, or a container that would hold liquid (Trencher, kettles, pots, bowls, Raw-hide, Birch bark, etc.) was used to cook the Stews or Soups.
Soups and Stews were the main staple for most gatherings, because it could feed so many.
Now ... where one group would eat ... the entire gathering can eat!!
After the food was ready, a "Spirit Plate" (A sample of all that would be offered to eat, placed on a plate and brought out into the woods to offer the first meal to the Nature Spirits that gifted itself to nourish us.)
Everyone is offered the same portion size plate of food ... Bowl of Stew and Bread. The elders are all served first. The people performing during the gathering is served and then everyone that wishes to join in the Feast Meal would be offered the same amount until everyone has had a meal.
After everyone has been served, the remainder of the stew and bread, the pot luck meals offered, deserts, fruits, etc. is placed onto the tables for anyone to server themselves.
MEMORY BRIDGE
We at Mother Earth's Creations have been honored by many people that have assisted in the construction of the grounds, idea sharing to help educate and honor the people, unseen warriors that have protected the people attending our gatherings, others that have participated in most of the Events offered at the grounds, selected Elders that have dedicated time and energy and have shown great honor to the people, and so many other ways.
For those who have crossed (Passed Away to the Great Mystery) we have created a Bridge of Memories ... "Memory Bridge".
This is an Honored Memorial of the grounds so that these People looking down upon us, can continue to watch over us as we look into their sheltering loving gaze.
GRANDFATHER MAPLE TREE
2003
2007
2012
When we walked the property that is now known as the Intertribal Powwow Grounds, in the heart of the beautiful piece of property stood a huge 4 to 6 Hundred Year Old Silver Leaf Maple Tree.
The "Grandparents" of the Grounds told us how in the 1950s they would picnic under the shade of its' leaves out within a huge pasture. They watched it disappear from their window sight as the trees took over the fields. They were there when we began clearing and honoring the tree again. Grandmother Moon Flower offered her view of the sex of the Maple Tree. "It must be a MAN, because it is narwhaled and lanky like Walter" so Grandfather Maple Tree was named. They were there when the April 2004 wind storm broke off the large towering limbs. They were there when the people began to offer the honoring of the Elders near it's base.
Now that it is a place of Meditation and Honor to the Elders, we can sit in the memory of all of the Elders that have brought us to this day and place in time.
SACRED FIRE LODGE
There are so many different traditional ways that a "Sacred Fire" is kindled, cared for and made sacred.
At Mother Earth's Creations the "Sacred Fire" is created in the physical center of the grounds. A fire pit was constructed from stones obtained, gifted and purchased from all over the world. People have also placed stones around this pit that they have gathered from other sacred spiritual sites that they have visited.
The Sacred Fire is kindled with Flint & Steel on Friday evening around 5pm of a Gathering and will be tended 24 hours a day until the last person leaves the Gathering. Everyone that wishes to offer their prayers and intentions for the gathering are welcome to join the awakening of the fire.
During gatherings it can be very difficult to keep an area "Sacred" during Public Hours. The 28 foot Lodge was placed over this area to protect the Fire and secure this sacred space.
ANTIQUE ARBOR
Many people are intrigued by the crafts, utensils, clothing, etc. that have been created and used by the Native American People throughout the ages. We have collected many different Native American artifacts and antiques have been obtained, gifted, donated and purchased for a display and to educate the public guests.
An Antique Display Arbor has been constructed across from Grandfather Maple Tree to offer the viewing of these artifacts and antiques during our gatherings.
DEMONSTRATION AREA
Grounds Elders wall
This is a "Hands On" area of the grounds. There are games to try, traditional cooking display, a Navaho Rug Loom that you could add a sting too, a Wigwam display that depicts the housing that was constructed in this area of the states, puzzles to do, Tanning vending display in the center.
Mother Earth's Creations have selected "Elders" that have been very segnificant to these grounds. A photo wall has been constructed to honor these people.
