NOTICE ABOUT POWWOWS

We are Honored to have had everyone  join us at the Gatherings held at the Intertribal Powwow Grounds throughout the years. During our Annual meeting of Mother Earth’s Creations, LLC in January, we reviewed all that had been offered by Mother Earth’s Creations.

First - A little trivia about the grounds. In 1992, Smiles created the name Mother Earth’s Creations as a registered business for vending and a small store out of his home. Once we began the grounds the name was transferred to the LLC - keeping the name alive. We will meet a goal set at the beginning of this dream in September 2019. Our 50th Powwow offered at the Grounds. We have only had to cancel one Powwow in 17 years because we did not have enough canoes to get into the Dance Circle. There have been over a hundred of loved ones released at the Grounds. We have had almost 50 weddings or unions, 22 personal Family Gatherings, 8 reunion gatherings, 10 Grounds awareness educational group tours (non-powwow times), Naming’s, Graduations and Birthday party gatherings and more offerings.

We took a dream and manifested it into reality in 2003 and we have been honored to have been able to offer these wonderful Powwow Gatherings and September 2019 will be our 50th Powwow that has been offered at Mother Earth’s Creations.

The Grounds will NOT be closing, we are going to take some time off for ourselves first and then review the hundreds of options that we would like to offer at the grounds other than just powwows. During our Annual meeting we reviewed the many other aspects that the Grounds could offer. Spirituals, Living off the land (survival type teaching), Campfire cooking, Native Cultural education, Warrior’s weekends (TV show “Survivor” type activities), Drum circles, Craft making, and so many other ideas. These will be offered to both the Native People and the Public Guests.

Please remember the Grounds are NOT CLOSING! The Grounds were created and will continue into the next generations. We want to slow our pace and allow the Grounds to manifest into more of it’s full potential. Everything we do will continue!! Any questions you may have, feel free to ask and we will answer them. Powwows are just suspended for now. Thank you all for your years of support and we look forward to have many more years to come.

Till we meet again ……Safe Journeys

Just a reminder that its that time of year were we could use your help with our setup at the Fryeburg Fair. Bring any item you would like to enter into the native catagory and we have the forms you can fill out. If you dont go to the fair---thats ok too. We can take your item up and return it to you when the fair is over. We have our October gathering (3rd weekend in October) and will have them with us at that time. Please help support us and thank you in advance.
